Barbara,

It was a pleasure meeting you last week at KTLA lot.  Thanks again for the ride around the parking lot. I wish you the best of luck! Be Safe!

Deputy Christopher T. Landavazo

Hi Barbara!!

I just wanted to say hi and was a pleasure meeting you in person.  Ian gave me one of your signed posters and I hung it up at the shop.  I heard you had some bad luck in the race, but that’s racing, right.  I also saw the videos on SPEED.com, they were very cool.  Thanks for giving us the plug in your production, my bosses loved it.  If your in LA any time call or E-mail me,  I’m always going to races, car shows, parties anything that revolves around racing.  Once again it was great to meet you and I’m sure I will see you in the future.

            Adios Amiga,

            Terence

Tina,

Tell BT I said Hi...I used to walk her dog Rocky....I woould like to brag and say I used to sleep with Barbara.....but the truth is....I used to sleep with Rocky...

BT is an amazing woman!! The most motivated chick I have ever seen in action!

Dear Barbara, I really admire what you do. I seen you on the KTLA morning show. You are a beautiful and talented woman. I hope we can keep in contact with each other. Could I have a autograph picture of you? Will you make any appearances in the Los Angeles area soon? I will love to meet you. I will love to get to know you better.

Thank you

Love, Mike.

Hi Barbara,

I would like to congratulate you for your videos on site about.com. And i would like to say that you are pretty nice, i really love to see you explaining everything about cars. What a pity that your tips about cars don´t corresponde exactly our reality here in Brazil.

Well, i´ve started to hear your videos because i´ve been studying your native language. Since i´ve been loving it

Thank you,

This is so helpful.  I imagine you must get thousands of emails.  Thank you for responding to response to your initial email.  Now I’m really going to get this thing fixed!  My wife and I both thank you BIG TIME.

Hi, my name is Tatiana and I am 18. I want to become a mechanic but am
always being put down by family and other people. Do you know what would
be a good way for me to get started?

PS. . .I'm a huge fan!

Barbara...

I still think the Marines should do a photoshoot of you leaning over a Hummer, put it on a Pinup (like Gable in World War II) and send them to the troops in Iraq ...good luck with your career.

Hi Barb,

I saw you on the Good Day Houston show. I am wondering if you like Mexican food, Margarita’s and great conversation. As a player and scout...Baseball is a big part of my like as well as golf, fishing, camping...most anything involving sports. I am a pitcher and I play in Houston, Dallas, all over Tex, Phoenix, Cal, LasVegas, and Fl.  I would like to send more info but before I do, I would respectfully like to ask for your permission to do so. I am not a bad cook either.

Respectfully,

Bill

I am sorry I did not get the opportunity to say good bye after the conclusion of the On Wheel Awards Show. I have been able to catch your informational clips on various shows and wanted to make contact with you.

I was unaware of the talent you have when it comes to automobiles and was very impressed to see you on TV presenting information to potential customers. Being in the car business can be a challenging profession and you seem to have found a niche that fits you very well.

I know you don't remember me but I am the tall car dealer from Detroit and I meant you the night before the show at Seldom Blues along with the representative from Hyundai.

I just wanted to say hello and wish you all the luck with your shows..

Drop me a line sometimes!

Bill

Thank you for your response Barbara.  You are doing well with your career and hope you enjoy the racing.

Hi Barbara,

I wanted to thank you for the t-shirts, autographed posters, etc. that you donated and let you know that the tournament was a success and we are looking forward bigger and better next year.

Thanks again for your kindness and have a wonderful weekend.

I watched your videos on this site today and really enjoyed them. Keep up the good work and best wishes with your future.

Thanks a million. I always new women could do any thing that men do. Go Girl.

Hey Barb,

I was looking at your articles in Mens Fitness, that's a pretty popular magazine, I'm impressed by you being there so many times.

Barbara,

Just wanted to let you know that I finally saw you on TV last night. I turned on the one channel that I get (no cable, remember) and there you were on Inside Edition demonstrating how to check tire pressure. You looked good and it was cool to see you on TV.

Hope you’re doing well!

-Todd

BT,

I apologize for having taken so long to get back to you with updates on the TurboBird, but frustration had been running high on my list. Having to rent a vehicle and deal with multiple solution scenarios and still not having a reason for why has been pissing me off. The update are as follows, a new iron block forged 347 is being in Houston then it goes to Arlington to be installed followed by a retune before I finally get to drive my bad motor scooter again and rest assured I will be demanding equal performance and expecting to run sub 11 second quarters. I’m getting my engine back because I’m still very confused as to what and why things went haywire. After much consideration I reasoned that possibly the driving I did before it was finally released to me might have been the cause but I just can’t make my mind accept it. As for the oil squirters you previously asked me about all I can say is that the engine was a stock 5.7 LS1 V8 aluminum block engine with the ws06 ram air addition so not sure about those squirters. Next time you visit Houston I’ll take you for a ride….unless you’re scared?

Claudio

Barbara....your pest down here in Houston.

Another mention for us this Sunday....thanks, so much! Do other BBB's ever tell you that? Just seeing if they were raised in a barn!

Anyway...WE appreciate your plug!

And.....this Sunday you were up to over half a page...

One more comment....and, OK...I know you get the flirtly stuff all the time...but I thought you would appreciate this....

I was at a meeting with some DEALERS....Texas is considering a registration law for mechanics...it failed to get any steam for this session...hey, we can't even pay for schools...but it will come back in 2009. Anyway...one mechanic was railing about your coverage in the paper...."Like SHE really knows anything about cars..." and before I could even say a word...a dealer calmly said..."You are full of it....have you seen her site? She is calm, composed, knowledgable, has a sense of humor, and if women are really 51% of the population, who are they going to trust....YOU, or her? She is the future of automotive mechanics....embrace it, dude! Oh, and she looks nicer in the shop than you do!"

Anyway....I said nothing...but everybody there agreed with him!

Take care!

Dan Parsons

Hi Barbara,

You looked GREAT on TV. We were all watching--your fame is just beginning. Anne was also watching. Forget the other people you were the star.

Keep up the TERRIFIC WORK.

Liz and Pat

Dear Barbara:

I just IM you, but someone who is watching your dog answered. Congraduation! I just saw your spot on Inside Edition.

Way to go girl!

Thanks for your response. I will do that as soon as the will is probated. I did not know about eBay Motors. I have heard of the Ebay website, but have never been on there before. I wish I could keep the Caddy, but it would just not be practical to haul my wife & three kids around in. (Thats why we drive a Honda Odyssey...).

Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

Gene Harrington.

Hi T.,

Miss Terry,

I recently found a lost business card belonging to you. Do you lose a lot of cards? Curiosity got the best of me so I looked into your web site. Looks good, but I can be a hard critic. I think some of your shots are not the most flattering to you. I can only imagine that they don't do you justice if one meets you in person. You clearly looked great in the intro sections of the Turtle wax commercial and your passion for your field showed.

Recently, I had a passenger get a little "car sick" in my 2006 Audi A4 Convertible (the top was up!). This person was telling me earlier that evening about how Audi really has room for improvement (this person professes to be a car expert). In the end, I think the Audi got them home safe and sound and I would guess they enjoyed the ride, despite probably not having any memory of it at all.

What would you recommend for leather cleaning products (besides not putting that person in my passenger seat again)?

Last questions, what is your favorite nickname and have you ever had a hard critic?

Little B:

This might sound a little foolish....but I am so proud of you!!....this website, where you have been, and what you have done, and what you are going to do is amazing and mirrors the personality that I remember...just pure ENERGY on Steriods!!
OMG...and still as beautiful as that mini-skirted (might have been a short black dress) kid at the Blue Water Grill......unlike most of these guys in your fanmail, I would still take that awesome personality over your beauty anyday!!

Barbara,

I've followed you off an on for some time now. Its great to see that you are starting to get the exposure that you deserve. I'd love to see you get some screen time in some feature films very soon!

Hey I just saw an interview you did at a San Diego television station. I have to say your beauty and personality rocks! Okay, I have several questions for you:

#1. What was the first car you owned?
#2. What kind of cars did you race when you were a kid?
#3. Would you marry me?
#4. How did you get the nickname Cheeks?

Dan
San Diego CA

Dear Ms. Terry,

I just wanted to say how great you are. I have never seen a hot babe or any woman for that matter that that knows as much about everything automotive. You obviously know that there is no other female competition out there in the automotive industry and you will corner the market in this area. You could be the next Martha Stewart of automotive. I've been in this business for 35 years and have two dozen franchises across the midwest, all related to automotive parts and services. I would love to discuss the possibility of you promoting for some of my franchises if you are interested?

I was additionally impressed by some of your car care products, which I purchased and was surprised how well the miracle car care solutions worked - great stuff and would like to carry them in my stores. What inspired me to write was seeing you on TV in Arizona a week ago, which was the third time, and you always come off great. I heard you say that you are going to do your own reality show. Please post all the info on your web site so I watch. Sounds like a great idea and I am sure it will be a hit with you customizing cars for celebrities - very cool.

John Bingham,
 automotive business owner

Hi Barbara,

I just saw your infomercial for Ice Polish. I've been waiting for a car wax I could use in the sun for what feels like an eternity. In Florida where I live, there's hardly a day of the year when you can wax your car outside. Thank you for bringing this product to us. I look forward to trying it.

Also, I don't mean to embarrass you, but when I saw you on television, I stopped what I was doing. My mouth literally fell open. I was stunned. You are the best-looking woman I've seen on TV in 20 years. Where did you come from? I see you're a car expert and you've done a lot of promotions lately. Have you always been in the spotlight? Do you really race in demolition derbies? You're a revelation, like the first time you read your favorite author. Thank you for putting yourself in the public eye. It was a pleasure "meeting" you.

Sincerely,
JS in Florida : )

Hey Barbara!

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed meeting you during our recent trip from New York to LA. When I returned home I told my buddies that I had a chance to meet someone who had the automotive knowledge of Jeff Gordon and the looks of Shanaia Twain!!!....LOL You are incredibly knowledgeable and I appreciate the insights and recommendations on what SUV you recommend for cost/value. Now, one final question, are you single????

It is so refreshing to see a woman like yourself who is so motivated and knowledgeable putting herself out there. its a first! my wife is now much more into our car and she wants to use the products you recommend. she maintains it and enjoys doing it!

bravo and keep it up!

Barbara,

I have read several of your articles in various magazines, seen you on an info-mercial and become quite a fan. I have also discovered your website, it's packed with a lot of very cool and useful information. On your website there is a segment with you on the CBS early show and it states that you are in negotiation for television. Can you please tell me when and what station your show will be on ? I will be watching every episode.. Plus you are very pretty, and was wondering if you would like to go on a date?

KC- in the midwest

What a difference it is to see a highly talented, educated, and to top it off, she is quite beautiful. what a change and a great one to watch a show that helps me and great to watch. wish she was on everyday.

Willy

Wow. getting taught by a beautiful woman. what a new concept. wish others would catch on and use Ms. Terry more and more. She makes me even watch the commercials as I do not want to miss any of her ideas and more. keep it up and bring me more of her.

Josh

Barbara –

What a breath of fresh air to see a confident, knowledgeable, attractive and articulate young woman on the television delivering informative helpful ideas regarding something we can all relate to (our cars). Please keep doing what you are doing. My friends and I will be looking forward to seeing you in your future endeavors. How do I get an autographed photo?

You biggest fan!!!!!!!

Randy

Hi Barbara,

When I saw In The Drivers Seat for the first time I became hooked on Barbara Terry. Ayear has passed and I have been following your progress`faithfully. What a beautiful woman you are blessed with all that talent, intelligence and charisma . I certainly have enjoyed all your web and tv segments and never get tired of seeing them. Autos about.com is very well presented with useful auto information and illustrations. Congratulations on all your newly acquired sponsors and coming BT Garage reality show. I must say Dr.Fuelgood is so sharp-does Dr. make house calls?! My favorite though is you and the camero WOW! I hope someday to meet you in person and get an autographed photo.Keep it going-want to see a lot more of you.

Ms. Terry,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note now that it is available to tell you that I have been watching your career for sometime now and I am a loyal fan of your in the drivers seat website. You bring a new respect and a fresh face to the auto industry! I hope to see you in more projects in the future. I tell all my friends about your website and have encouraged them to tune in to see what is next. Best of luck to you in your future.

Thanks for making me late getting to the barns this morning. As a lover of speed and horsepower your infomercial for Turtle Wax Ice caught my attention. My love of horsepower comes in the way of thoroughbred horses but the need for speed is the same. Like cars, anything I can find to enhance their care will catch my attention.

Getting back to my original statement about being late you are way to gorgeous to not be involved in thoroughbred racing as well as the automotive industry. If you ever decide to "cross over" then drop me an email.

Tim Pearl

Hello Barbara,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and say how much of a pleasure it was meeting you. Given all your talents and charisma, I can see you are definitely one of a kind! I only got a chance to see the pilot for In the Driver's Seat, but I am eagerly awaiting your future work. I know you have already accomplished quite a bit, but I have to say the skies are the limit for you young lady! I will be cheering you on. Maybe ever I get that Shelby GT-350, I have you can give me some pointers on restoring it!

Best of Luck,

Neal

Great new photos on the web site. Glad to see your career is going strong

Hugs,
T

Dear BT,

What are you using on your hands? Whatever it is it is making you look younger and hotter. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!

As a man who loves driving but has never really cared all that much about the actual under-the-hood mechanics of cars, my wife must wonder why I have taken such a sudden and devout interest in reading the Automotive section of the Houston Chronicle! Flipping through it recently, your column there stopped me dead in my tracks, and I am now a devoted reader and admirer. I might even learn something... who knew I was over-inflating my Jeep's tires all these years? : )

Wishing my mechanic looked more like you,

Greg
Sugar Land, Texas

Unless this is just a standard reply from your publicist -- and I'm just going to hope and naively believe that it's not -- I'm so pleasantly stunned & impressed to receive a personal reply from you! Unbelievable. You certainly have everything that it takes to be a bonafide, "A-list" celebrity. How famous do you want to be, I wonder? I'm sure nothing will limit you. I can't wait to see more and more of you in the media in the days ahead!

Of course, there will always be those neanderthal guys who think they can't get advice on mechanical topics from a woman, let alone a beautiful one. I'm sure they'd rather you just pose on a hood with your back arched. But speaking for myself, my wife taught me how to drive a stick when we were dating... something my dad had never been able to do with any degree of competency or patience... so I've never underestimated a woman's touch in any area. : )

I doubt I will recommend she read your column, though... she's way too smart for that. Once she saw your photo, she'd know exactly why I am suddenly such a fan, and promptly steer me back to Houston's "Scotty" Kilmer for my automotive advice.

I hope that you have a wonderful holiday season, and get everything that you're dreaming for under the Christmas tree!

Your new fan & admirer,

Greg

Hi Barbara,

What do you do -- work 24-7?

I'm amazed at all you've accomplished! You tour the nation representing major companies, make appearances on national talk shows, strut you stuff on the cover of major magazines and write a splendid, informative Q&A column for the Houston Chronicle.

I read these Q&As on a regular basis and I'm amazed at your knowledge. I'm saving these and thinking about having them framed. Ever thought about compiling them into a book? Or what about writing a book on your life adventures -- from a Texas ranch to the big time (maybe call it "From Cattle to Couture")?

What I'm really yearning for is a Barbara Terry poster -- a supersized one -- signed and possibly numbered. The only downside of owning such a poster is that I'd be so enamored with it that the rest of my life would stop -- guess, I'd eventually have to go to work.

Thanks Barbara for making our planet a better place to live!!! Sincerely,

Texas Tim

PS: Really like that fabulous smile!

Hi again, BT.

Sorry! but if i keep getting such informative and wonderful advice from you and ur column in the chronicle, it will be hard not to be in touch with you!!

Reading all these articles has given me so much knowledge that sometimes my friends ask me to identify their problem and when most of the time they check it out to be correct, it gives a kind of pleasure/satisfaction that i was able to help them (but i am no mechanic). So i guess i will have to keep on troubling u till then .

and thanks for the tip on the sagging door, i will try to fix that first and see if it solves the problem, if not, then go for the weather stripping.

thanks again, keep up this good work, it is without doubt the best thing that can be out there for us half-mechanics.

Suraj
